In order to enliven the campus atmosphere, enrich students' after-school culture, stimulate their interest in learning English, and improve their ability of practical use of English, and let students enjoy the fun of English and the tacit understanding of teamwork through a series of games, on April 26th and 29th, 2021, the English Club of Anqing Foreign Language School held the Fun English Knowledge Contest for Grade 7 and Grade 8 respectively. To be concrete, the fun competition is divided into five parts: word competition, compulsory questions, tongue twister, memory competition and quick response questions. Before the competition, the players were fully prepared and full of confidence. In the competition, the students were enthusiastic and actively met the challenges. Thus, the atmosphere was alternately intense and lively. Evidently, the contestants were immersed in the thick English atmosphere. More importantly, this form of competition allows students to jump out of the textbooks and enjoy the fun of English learning. Finally, Team Two composed of Class 2 and Class 10 of Grade 8 won the championship of the Grade 8 group while Team One consisting of Class 1 and Class 12 of Grade 7 won the championship of the Grade 7 Division.
